Cemali are two brothers Ali Tosun and Cem Tosun. Sons of Turkish immigrants to US in the 1960's, they grew up and live in San Francisco. They have lived and studied both in the US and Turkey, constantly traveling back and forth between the two continents. This constant move enabled them to study the culture and the music of both worlds.

Their progressive sound is a musical fusion of these two worlds which is a unique blend of stirring melodies, alternative electronic rhythms and world beat woven with original contemporary poetry.

Although their sound is rooted in the underground music scenes of San Francisco and London, Cemali has embraced traditional/ethnic elements to create their unique vibe.

Setting an example for the next generation of modern world music, their expertise in electronica makes them a leader in Turkish music.
