Bulent Mumay (born July 5, 1977 in Siirt) is a Turkish journalist. He worked as the editor of the later left-liberal daily Radikal and headed the online editorial office of Hürriyet.
In October 2015, he was released from pressure from the Turkish government. After the coup attempt in the summer of 2016 , he was suspected of belonging to the Gulen organization, arrested but released after five days in police custody released.
Since August 2016, Mumay has written columns for the left-leaning Turkish daily BirGün. In the German-speaking world he is known by his "Letters from Istanbul" in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung published.
He worked as the Digital Media Coordinator of Cumhuriyet Newspaper, until his resignation on 10 September 2018.
